For added peace of mind, the KONA Electric has been equipped with the latest Hyundai Smart Sense – our cutting-edge Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. For the first time, it also features Highway Driving Assist – a combination of Lane Following Assist and Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control – it utilises sensors and map data to enable autonomous driving, automatically adjusting speed and overtaking cars in front of you when cruise control is set.
Highway Driving Assist.
HDA uses the information from the forward-facing camera and radar sensor as well as the navigation data to control the speed, direction, and following distance of the vehicle.
Forward Collision-avoidance Assist 1.5 (FCA 1.5).
When the car ahead abruptly brakes and evasive lane change is sensed as impossible, it applies a brake at a faster tempo to dramatically reduce the likelihood of a forward collision.
Blind-spot View Monitor (BVM).
Now you can see the rearward left- and right-hand side views in the digital cluster. The cameras are activated by the turn indicator during lane changes.
